The Marketing Manager will be a member of the local and national marketing teams and participate in the regional marketing planning process.

Norton Rose Fulbright Canada is currently seeking a Marketing Manager for the Vancouver office as part of the national Clients & Markets team. This position will report to the Marketing Director (Western Region).

The Marketing Manager will play a lead role in the day-to-day management, implementation and execution of the marketing plan and associated campaigns and programs; and via a shared services model, will work with colleagues locally, nationally and globally to deliver the plans. The role will be responsible for leading multi-tiered marketing campaigns and working with stated ROI objectives, tracking and reporting on results. This dynamic position executes tactics and initiatives to implement the growth priorities in support of the Managing Partner in the Vancouver office, as detailed in the marketing plans.

Responsibilities:

- Work with the Marketing Director (Western Region) in leading the marketing campaigns and program delivery for the Vancouver market

- Act as the first marketing point of contact for client service

- Manage the deployment of integrated marketing and communication plans aligned with the regional and national strategy and local revenue objectives

- Work closely with marketing support (communications, research, proposals, creative) to provide exceptional service to client service and business development teams

- Provide marketing support for the strategic planning process
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with global, national and regional marketing counterparts

- Seek through leadership opportunities within the local market leveraging Canadian and global content

- Seek opportunities to expand our profile in the market, through speaking engagements, media, social media...

- Manage or support the relevant local and national sponsorship opportunities and events

- Utilize established campaigns develoment and management tools (i.e. CRM, creative services procurement tools)

- Be a collaborative team member who motivates, coaches, trains, and supports team members
- Manage marketing programs budget
- Measure the marketing-related activities against predetermined ROI objectives
- Domestic travel may be required

Skills & Qualifications:

- Degree in business and/or marketing discipline
- 5-7 years of experience and ability in developing, managing and implementing effective marketing plans, communications, thought leadership, branding, client service planning and go-to-market strategies
- Ability to identify key industry and clients information (trends, issues, client-specific data, and strategic business opportunities) and present marketing perspective on what will be required to meet strategic goals
- Strong message and value proposition understanding and in some cases, content development

- Be digitally savvy and conversant with digital marketing, news media and social media strategies and tactics

- Exhibit strong knowledge of, or interest in, the professional services industry and business-to-business marketing

- Have a demonstrated understanding of the power of focused and targeted marketing
- Experience in creating and executing integrated brand building and lead generation initiatives

- Ability to manage multiple, disparate projects through to completion, interacting with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to manage virtual project teams
- Flexibility to take a 360-degree view of issues and debate alternative approaches
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- A self-starter, able to work with little day-to-day supervision

- Ability to build strong working relationships with high-level internal clients and with colleagues of all level in different locations
- Experience working with matrix organizations helpful
- Demonstrated results-oriented workk style
- Professional services (law or accounting) experience an asset
- Business-to-business marketing experience is required
- Bilingual (French and English) an asset
